Glen Alpine Falls is a large and wide waterfall. I was able to get parking in this area as it was not too busy and walked the 2 minute walk to the falls. From here, you will see a sign that points you towards the falls, and it is probably about a quarter-mile up the hill till you see small dirt parking areas for the waterfall. The road continues to wind around until you reach the back of the lake and a small fire station. This must be a popular spot in Tahoe to live as these houses were crazy. When you get to the lake, you will be driving along it and will see massive mansions on both sides of you. From here it is another 2 miles or so to the lake. The road will go about a mile before it passes a campground. That being said, when you make it to the lake, you will be ok with pulling over as the views are incredibly beautiful. The road is only 1.5 lanes max, so when anyone is coming from the other way, you will need to pull out. As soon as you turn onto it though, be prepared for slow going. The road to Fallen Leaf Lake is signed and is right off Highway 89, south of Emerald Bay.

USA 2016: Fallen Leaf Lake, South Lake Tahoe, Cali.USA 2016: Fannette Island and Emerald Bay, South L.:))) Haha! So if it's not yet obvious, compared to the Philippines which is a tropical country, water mostly come from melted snow.

The water of Glen-Alpine falls which eventually find its way to the Fallen Leaf and Lake Tahoe is from the Lily Lake which I will be posting next and of course, the water of Lily Lake is from another water falls. This is the creek on the upper part of the falls where the cascade starts. Underwater Picture na hindi mukhang underwater sa linis. There are a lot ot of waterfalls around Lake Tahoe since it's encircled by mountain ranges but I think we found one of the most beautiful ones! The multi-tiered cascade is around 65-70 feet high. Going near was not hard though take extra care in walking on the rocks because some are kind of slippery. We got lost but we found this falls! Best time to go here would be spring to early summer (maybe) because although there were still plenty of water flowing in this picture, you may see less water there during the summer. It's a good thing that you can see this by the roadside unlike other falls which you would usually have to trek first before seeing.īut taking pictures from this area didn't suffice! We went closer to the falls. We were looking for a place where we can take pictures with the Fallen Leaf lake at the background but we got lost and found this gem - the Glen-Alpine Falls.
